Hello, I’m using this theme (Palladiumize) on my site and loving it! However I have a problem and that is that when I or someone make a reply to a comment, the replybox underneath the comment isn’t working (javascript functionality) instead it take quite some time and the page reloads and the reply occurs in the textform in the commentarea.
I have added the if ( is_singular() ) wp_enqueue_script( ‘comment-reply’ ); to the header with no success.
Could you help out?
Hello Åse,
Here it is and follow the instructions carefully.
Open the file named
setup.phpunderincludesfolder. At the end of the line add the following lines of code:Save the file.
Next, open the functions.php under includes folder. Go to line 365 and replace the following line of code from:
to
Hope this will help.
the theme is really nice! thank you!
Thank you James! However, I followed the instructions but I still don’t get the javascript to work :/
Any other idea?
It work’s now James! Thanks!! =)
This is a beautiful theme. I just set it up, but I can’t get the image to show up in the slideshow. I have customized the settings, but nothing I do will get the slideshow to work. The image shows up fine in the post, but not on the home page. I don’t want to have to change themes. I’d rather get this one to work. What is the secret?
Make sure that you are using the Featured Image in a post.
James,
Thanks! I followed those directions and it shows up now. There were more instructions that had to do with adding code to the loop.php file, but I didn’t seem to need them. The featured image is showing up fine. Am I correct that I don’t need to change anything in the loop.php file in the Palladiumize theme?
Another question is about the favicon. Yesterday I uploaded a favicon.ico directly into the main folder. Its still not showing up. Most likely I need to add some code into one of the files. Can you please provide the code and tell me what file to put it into?
Hello Rufina,
Yes you don’t have to change anything in the
loop.phpfile.For the favicon, you don’t have to upload the favicon.ico directly to the main folder. You can upload using the said theme in General Tab under Appearance > Palladiumize Options. You will see the Favicon URL, just fill in the blank or upload the favicon.
OK, thanks!
It’s me again. Now that I have the featured image and the favicon showing, I can’t see the thumbnail images on the post excerpt on the home page. It just says “no thumbnail” instead of showing the image. Yet the image shows up fine on the post itself.
I tried following the instructions you gave me earlier that had to do with adding code to the loop.php file, but the loop file in the Palladiumize theme wasn’t anything like the one in the instructions and it didn’t work.
How can I get the thumbnails to show on the home page?
You have to add a featured image in every post, just like you did on the first post.
Thanks! that was easy.
Is there a way to remove dates and the by __ line, as well as comments?
Also, is there a way to change the color, font and size of the sidenav textbox headers so they go with my color scheme better?
Rufina
You can change the dates and other metadata manually, inside the loop.php file.
Also, you can change the colors, fonts, background colors through CSS manually though.
I love the theme but for some reason neither wordpress.com stats plugin nor sitemeter seem to work with this theme. Somehow the tracking code doesn’t show up work.
Hello Kevin,
Below is the fix for your problem.
footer.phpfile of Palladiumize theme.PADD_PREFIXtoPADD_NAME_SPACE.This theme is very nice and works well with other WordPress plugins.
