Installation:
- Install matapat folder at /wp-content/themes/
- Activate Matapat Theme 1.0 by Padd Solutions (Note: Don’t worry if it might look disoriented at first, you need to activate the required plugins to fully utilize the theme.)

- FlickrRSS
- Popularity Contest
- TweetMeme Retweet Button (note on the settings, see below)
- WP-PageNavi
- Yet Another Related Posts Plugin
Customizing Matapat Options:
- Go to Appearance > Matapat Options
- General Settings
- Social Networking Settings
- Custom Ads Settings
- Then Save Settings.
Additional Customization:
- Changing the Logo:
- Use the site-name.psd found at the /images folder.
- Edit it using your favorite graphics application.
- Save as site-name.png and upload it at the /wp-content/themes/matapat/images folder.
- Changing the Description:
- Use the site-description.psd found at the /images folder.
- Edit it using your favorite graphics application.
- Save as site-description.png and upload it at the /wp-content/themes/matapat/images folder.
- Customizing the “About Us” in the footer:
- Go to Appearance > Matapat Options
- General Settings > Site Description
- Use this code:

- Then Save Settings.

- Save changes.
- Updating Featured Photos:
- Go to Settings > flickrRSS
- Edit the settings.
- Save changes.

i love the wp and smart design work
Excellent & Clean theme. It’s going to take me a little while, but I’ll be switching to this theme ASAP! I also liked your Masikap theme!
Love the design but I do not seem to be able to get the thumbs from the post to work. In the other themes it says:
Updating the Post Thumbnail:
1. At the Custom Field of the post:
2. Name: paddimage
3. Value: url of the image (i.e. /wp-content/uploads/2010/02/image.jpg)
4. Edit the settings.
5. Save changes.
But apparently it does not apply to this skin because I did that and nothing shows. The strange thing is that I know the URL is right because when I click on the post, the rest of the pictures do show up.
Can anyone help? Should the custom field be named something else? and if so, what?
