Installation:
- Install holmiumous folder at /wp-content/themes/
- Activate Holmiumous Theme 1.0 by Padd Solutions (Note: Don’t worry if it might look disoriented at first, you need to activate the required plugins to fully utilize the theme.)
Activate the Required Plugins
Customizing Holmiumous Options:
- Go to Appearance > Holmiumous Options
- General Settings
- Slideshow Settings
- Page Tracker Settings
- Social Networking Settings
- Page Navigation Settings
- Custom Ads Settings
- Then Save Settings.
Additional Customization:
- Setting the Featured Thumbnail:
- Go to the post
- At the bottom right part of the post page (below “Post Tags”) set the “Featured Image” (with at least width: 595px and height: 315px)
- Save or Update Post.
- Setting the DropDown Menus:
- Go to Appearance > Menus.
- Drag and drop the menus you want to appear in header navigation menu at the “Main Menu” Box and hit “Save Menu” button.
- At the Theme Locations box, choose “Main Menu” from the dropdown choices and hit “Save”.

It means the CURL extension for PHP is not installed. You have to install it in order to get it working.

How can I integrate the slideshow into a static page?

The slideshow in this theme is designed to display only in the front page – the Home page. It’s not possible to display it in specific static pages…

My blog’s photo all hosted in Flickr,can it show in thumbnails caused the photo is not host in WordPress ?
If can’t show,can be turn off thumbnail and slideshow features in this theme ?

You can turn off the slideshow feature in the “Holmiumous Options”. Under the slideshow tab, just uncheck the box that says “Enable slideshow”. As for the thumbnails, the theme is designed to display “Featured Image” of the post, not photos hosted outside of your WordPress site.

I want to add a header image but when I insert an imagine to heaper.php the image always has a gray border. How can I get rid of that border?

You’d need to edit the
header.css.phpfile and add the following code at the end:div#header img {
border: 0 none;
padding: 0;
}

Is there a way to change the color in the slider from that bright orange to something else? I love the theme – but I really need to be able to lose the orange!

Yes, you can change the color. You’d have to open the “css” folder inside the theme folder. Locate the file named “jquery.cycle.css.php” and open it using any text editor (e.g. notepad, text wrangler).
Locate the part of the code shown below:

Change the value of “background” to the color of your choice.
